FAQs

How should I store my Coconut Oil?

Coconut oil does not need to be refrigerated but should be stored out of direct sunlight. It is naturally liquid at warmer temperatures but solid to semi-solid at room temperature—this is completely normal and does not affect quality.

What does 'expeller-pressed' mean?

Expeller-pressed means the oil is extracted using a mechanical press rather than chemical solvents. This process preserves the natural quality of the coconut oil while ensuring no harsh chemicals or hexanes are used.

What is the difference between Virgin Coconut Oil and Refined Coconut Oil?

Virgin Coconut Oil is cold-pressed from fresh coconuts and retains its natural coconut flavor and aroma, while Refined Coconut Oil is steam-refined for a neutral taste. Our Virgin Coconut Oil is unrefined, so you get that authentic tropical flavor and all the natural nutrients. Refined Coconut Oil has a higher smoke point, making it better suited for high-heat cooking.

Why does my Refined Coconut Oil have a yellowish tint?

The yellowish color is completely normal. Only chemically bleached and refined coconut oil is pure white. Our Organic Refined Coconut Oil goes through an organic steam refining process, and some of the yellow color naturally remains since the dried coconut is not treated with sulfites or other bleaching agents.
