Hazelnut Hot Chocolate with Peppermint

This simple yet decadent hot chocolate is the epitome of coziness for the holidays. The amount of chocolate hazelnut spread can be adjusted to your desired richness - add between 3-4 tablespoons depending on your taste.  The peppermint extract provides a refreshing wintry twist. Don’t forget the marshmallows and whipped coconut cream and all you have to do is wait for some snow!


3-4 tablespoons Nutiva Hazelnut Chocolate Spread

1 cup oat or cashew milk (or milk of choice)

1/4 tsp peppermint extract


Crushed peppermint candy for garnish

Whipped coconut cream (optional)


  1. In a small saucepan set over medium heat, pour in milk, peppermint extract,  and add the hazelnut spread. 
  2. Whisk until smooth and milk is simmering.
  3. Pour into a mug, top with marshmallows and crushed candy canes.
