Red Palm Oil Sweet Potato Fries
A nutrient rich take on a classic American side dish, these sweet potato fries are made with Nutiva Unrefined Red Palm Oil.
Ingredients
- 3-4 Sweet Potatoes (can be substituted with yams)
- 3 tbsp Organic Red Palm Oil
- 1 tbsp Sea Salt
- Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Slice sweet potatoes and soak in a large bowl of hot tap water for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 475°F and place rack on the lowest setting.
- Prepare baking sheet with 2 tbsp Nutiva Organic Unrefined Red Palm Oil, then sprinkle with salt.
- Drain potatoes and dry in a cloth, then toss potatoes in 1 tbsp oil.
- Line up potatoes on a baking sheet and cover with tin foil, then bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for 35 minutes, until golden.
- Season with additional salt & pepper.

This recipe calls for 475 F, but in another place it says that this oil only should be used to 300 F.
