Red Palm Oil Sweet Potato Fries

A nutrient rich take on a classic American side dish, these sweet potato fries are made with Nutiva Unrefined Red Palm Oil.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Sweet Potatoes (can be substituted with yams)
  • 3 tbsp Organic Red Palm Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sea Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Slice sweet potatoes and soak in a large bowl of hot tap water for 5 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 475°F and place rack on the lowest setting.
  3. Prepare baking sheet with 2 tbsp Nutiva Organic Unrefined Red Palm Oil, then sprinkle with salt.
  4. Drain potatoes and dry in a cloth, then toss potatoes in 1 tbsp oil.
  5. Line up potatoes on a baking sheet and cover with tin foil, then bake for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake for 35 minutes, until golden.
  7. Season with additional salt & pepper.
