Hemp-Crusted Grilled Salmon

Hempseeds add flavor and texture to these tender salmon fillets that are basted with a delicious glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Nutiva Organic Hemp Oil Organic Hemp Oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp tamari sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp tahini paste
  • 2 tsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 tsp minced fresh gingerroot
  • 4 salmon fillets, skin on (each about 4 to 5 oz)
  • 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup Nutiva Organic Hempseed Organic Shelled Hempseed
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well.
  2. Stir together oil, honey, tamari, vinegar, tahini paste, hot sauce and ginger.
  3. Season salmon with salt and pepper; grill salmon skin side down for 3 or 4 minutes or until grill-marked.
  4. Baste salmon with glaze; flip over and continue cooking, basting with glaze, for 5 or 6 minutes or until salmon is cooked through and starts to flake. Sprinkle each fillet with hempseeds; garnish with green onion.
