Why is my coconut oil solid?

Why is my coconut oil solid?

This is our most asked question in cooler months. What you're observing is completely normal. The consistency of coconut oil varies depending on the temperature. Coconut oil is naturally a liquid at warmer temperatures and a semi-solid to solid at cooler temperatures. It can exist in both states at the same time, even within the same Lot number. This is normal and natural and does not harm the product. If you want it to be a liquid, you can put the jar, with the lid screwed on tightly, in hot water to liquefy the coconut oil. Do Not Microwave. If you prefer to have more of a solid, you may place it in the refrigerator until it sets up.
