What is MCT Oil?

Our Organic MCT Oil is an oil concentrated with the medium-chain triglycerides Capric acid and Caprylic acid. Medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs, are the types of saturated fatty acids typically found in coconuts. Using our patented USDA certified-organic process, we gently remove most of the solid fat, or lauric acid,  from virgin coconut oil, leaving high levels of Capric and Caprylic acids. There are no chemicals, filler oils, hexane or additives used during this process.

What are the Benefits of MCT Oil?

Our Organic MCT Oil contains 93% MCTs and 13g of Medium-chain triglycerides per serving. MCTs are easily digested and provide energy, support the metabolism and are burned by the body for energy and fuel.* In conjunction with a balanced diet and exercise, consuming MCT Oil can support weight management.* Blending our MCT Oil and Buttery Coconut Oil into coffee creates a rich, creamy and delicious morning beverage that provides energy.*

What is that mixer called that’s mixing the coffee together? And where can I get it?

    1. Nutiva Team Nutiva says:

      Hi Fran,
This is a Nestpark Portable Drink Mixer and can be purchased on Amazon.

  2. Alex says:

Does MCT Oil has anty viral antibacterial properties as regular coconut oil?

    1. Nutiva Team Nutiva says:

      Hi Alex,
MCT Oil is made from Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. The antibacterial properties are mainly associated with Lauric acid. MCT has trace amounts of Lauric Acid. Some studies show that Capric acid and Caprylic acid (which are present in MCT Oil), have this antimicrobial property to a lesser degree, however Nutiva does not test the antibacterial properties of our MCT Oil. We hope this helps!

  3. What are the health benefits?

  4. Wendy says:

Is there any reason I can’t add the MCT oil to my coffee, without adding the butter or coconut oil? In other words is there a benefit to it all by itself in your coffee?

    1. Nutiva Team Nutiva says:

      Hi Wendy,
There is no reason. You can add MCT alone to your coffee and still get the benefit of the capric and caprylic acids
