Enjoy
our Delicious and Nutritious Organic Coconut Oil Now available in our
new Jumbo 29 oz Size

Nutiva customers
are raving about our coconut oil's sweet light aroma and delicious flavor.
We constantly receive customer feedback telling us it's the best coconut
oil on the market. That was our goal in developing this product and is
why we'll happily refund 100% of your purchase should you not find it
meets that standard.
Nutiva processes
our coconut oil within 120 minutes of cracking the shell. This yields
a raw, un-refined, extra-virgin organic coconut oil that looks, smells,
and tastes like fresh coconuts.
Contrast
this approach with the vast majority of manufacturers who first chop the
coconut in half, leave it to dry in the sun for days, scoop the meat out
and ship it thousands of miles to giant oil mills where the oxidizing
meat is refined, bleached, and often deodorized. Ironically, this
product is often labeled "certified organic."
Nutiva offers
our Organic Coconut Oil in 15 oz and 29 oz jars, as well as bulk 1 and
5 gallon containers.

Donation Spotlight:
The
Campaign to Label Genetically Engineered Foods

Nutiva donates 1
percent of its sales to groups supporting sustainable agriculture. The efforts
of these groups, taken as a whole, may range from GMO labeling and
community gardens to the banning of toxic pesticides or mutated gene fragments.
This
month, we are delighted to honor The
Campaign to Label Genetically Engineered Foods whose stated
goal is to:
"create
a national grassroots consumer campaign for the purpose of lobbying Congress
and the President to pass legislation that will require the labeling of
genetically engineered (GE) foods in the United States."
The Campaign
provides educational literature to natural food stores which educates
people on the vital concerns of genetically engineered foods including
the cross contamination of GE pollen of organic foods and the lack of
safety data on ingesting such foods. Many people are not aware that most
corn, soy, and canola foods sold today contain unknown gene protein fragments.
America is conducting the largest untested novel feeding trials of mutated
foods in the history of our world.
Since its
inception, Nutiva's 1% campaign has donated more than twenty five thousand
dollars to exemplary organizations including:

Canola :
Another Viewpoint
Recent articles
have mentioned canola as a healthy oil. Readers might want to consider
the following: Most canola today is grown in Canada, and even organic
canola is now well contaminated from GMO pollen from Monsanto's GE Canola
plants. Canola was promoted in a massive PR campaign in the 1990's, yet
it's a very low-cost industrial oil with many down sides. It contains
low levels of eruric acid- a toxic substance that was found at higher
levels in canola's parent, rapeseed.
Canola can
spoil easily. Both canola and soy contain modest amounts of Omega-3, and
these oils are currently sold in clear bottles in the grocery isle. Thus,
by the time shoppers bring soy or canola bottles home to their kitchens,
they often are turning rancid due to light and heat exposure. Rancid vegetable
oils have been linked to major health problems and the natural food community
is still largely unaware of the issue because industry pr fails to mention
anything about it.
An increasing
number of health professional now recommend virgin coconut
oil (rich in medium chain fats) as an ideal all purpose cooking oil, and
hemp oil (rich in Omega-3 and GLA) as a raw oil for salads and sauces.
Given the fact that about 90% of our brain is fat, it is vital as a society
that we ingest healthy fats.
